A closure order has been secured by Wiltshire Police for a property in Devizes, with the aim of preventing further criminal activity.

It's been granted for an address in Leigh Woods Lane by Swindon Magistrates, following issues over drug supply and anti-social behaviour.

For the next three months, the order prevents anyone other than the occupants, emergency services and Aster staff from entering the premises.

Anyone caught in the property otherwise could be arrested.

Inspector Simon Garrett said: “Closure orders are an effective way of reducing anti-social behaviour and criminal activity associated with the address, and will hopefully provide some reassurance to local residents who will no doubt have been affected by the ongoing issues in some way.

“We will continue to patrol the area and ensure the order is being adhered to over the next few months at all different times of the day and night, and would urge anyone with concerns to call 101.”

We're also asked to call 999 if we see a crime in progress.
