A man who died in a crash on the A4 at Fyfield has been described as a "deeply respected" and "hugely admired" person by the pub where he worked.

32-year-old Cameron Thomas was involved in crash around 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon (21/2). Police are appealing for witnesses and information as they investigate the incident.

He leaves behind a wife and two young children.

Cameron worked at The Marlborough Inn, where he was General Manager.

In a post on social media, the pub said it is "heartbroken" at the loss of Cameron, saying he was "at the very heart" of the community.

The pub said: "His warmth, leadership, dedication and kindness shaped not only our business, but our team and the community around us.

"He was deeply respected, hugely admired and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him."

As a mark of respect, the organisation is closing its doors until Friday afternoon to allow his colleagues time and space to grieve and support each other.

The pub says it plans to host a gathering where Cameron's life can be celebrated and the impact he had on the community recognised.

Pub management ask that we respect the families privacy at this time while keeping them in our thoughts.
