A man in his 20s has died after a crash involving two vehicles in Bulford.

Emergency services were called to the A3028 Double Hedges at 8.45pm on 14th October, following a report of a crash.

Wiltshire Police said a Mercedes Benz CLA had been travelling westbound towards Durrington, and a Volkswagen T Cross had been travelling eastbound towards Bulford when the two vehicles collided.

The force said the Volkswagen caught fire after the crash and was destroyed.

The driver of the Mercedes was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.

Road closures were put in place overnight so collision investigators could carry out enquiries at the scene.

Wiltshire Police is asking anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have dash cam footage, to contact its Serious Collision Investigation Team on 012255 694597 and quote log number 325 of 14th October.
