Woman in life-threatening condition after A36 crash

A single vehicle collision has closed the A36, Deptford this morning

A woman has suffered life-threatening injuries after she lost control of her car on the A36, near Deptford.

Her white Ford Mondeo was travelling south at around 1.15am this morning (Tuesday 27 May) when it lost control and collided with the central reservation,

The woman in her 40s was quickly taken to hospital to receive treatment for life-threatening injuries.

A statement from a police spokesperson, describing the vehicle, has said: "it appears to have lost control at the point when the single carriageway becomes dual, rolled and come to rest in the central reservation."

The road currently remains closed between Deptford and Fisherton de la Mere, and is expected to remain closed until lunchtime.
