Woman in serious condition following multi-vehicle collision near Marlborough

A woman remains in a stable, but serious condition following a multi-vehicle collision on the A346 Salisbury Road, Marlborough.

At around 1.15pm on Monday (21/01) a lorry travelling in the Burbage direction stopped to turn right at Browns Farm.

It is believed that three vehicles slowed behind it, before a Kia Sorento collided with the van at the back of the line. The Kia crossed the road and collided with an oncoming vehicle.

The driver and front passenger of the Kia Sorento, both aged in their 70s, were taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

An air ambulance was called to the incident and South Western Ambulance Service has confirmed three people were taken to hospital in total.
