Police officer and teenager bitten by dog during protest
Police have stated a teenager and a police officer were bitten by a dog at a demonstration in Plymouth Hoe.
Devon and Cornwall Police said a dog had bitten a 15-year-old boy before it then bit a responding officer on Sunday.
Devon and Cornwall police stated:
"Shortly after 4pm on Sunday 26 October, at protests on Plymouth Hoe, we were notified of an incident involving a dog bite.
It was reported that the dog had bitten a 15-year-old boy causing injury. While responding, the dog also bit a police officer.
Both have been treated as hospital and the dog has been seized by police.
A 48-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control. He has been released on bail while enquiries continue."
