Police appeal after crash near Yelverton

Police seek dash-cam footage from motorists who were near the scene

A man in his 60s was seriously injured in a collision involving a car and motorcycle on the A386 near Yelverton.

The incident occurred at the bend near the turning to Buckland Abbey around 12:30pm on Friday, 5th June.

The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and the road was closed for a period as officers conducted an investigation at the scene.

Police are asking for witnesses and those with relevant dash-cam footage to come forward to aid their investigation.

Motorists who were in the area at the time and may possess footage are encouraged to contact police online or by calling 101 and quoting log 297 of 5th June 2026.

The Roads Policing Team expressed gratitude to the public for their patience during the road closure.
