Man found seriously injured in Plymouth

It's reported he received puncture wounds while in a car.

Devon & Cornwall police are seeking witnesses after a man was found seriously injured in Plymouth on Saturday 23 August.

Officers were called by the ambulance service at around 9.05pm on Saturday (23 August) after the man was located with serious injuries on Pembroke Lane, Plymouth.

It was reported that a man in his 30s sustained several puncture wounds in an assault and was taken to Derriford Hospital, in a critical condition where he remains.

His injuries have since been confirmed as not life threatening or life changing.

Following enquiries, it was established that he sustained his injuries while in a car on Beaumont Street.

Detectives have launched in investigation.

Deputy Senior Investigating Officer, Acting Detective Sergeant Andrew Trott-Rodgers said: “We are appealing for anyone who we have not already spoken to and who saw or heard anything suspicious in the Beaumont Street area between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Saturday 23 August to please contact us.

“We believe that there is no wider threat to members of the public.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area while searches and enquiries remain ongoing, and we would encourage anyone with information or concerns to speak with officers or to contact us by calling 101.”
