Investigations continue into a report of criminal damage to Plymouth's Holocaust Memorial.
An attempt was made to remove the Holocaust Memorial Plaque from the Garden of Peace on the Hoe last month.
It's believed the damage to the stone and plinth was caused between 9pm on Wednesday 29 January and just after 10am the next day.
Police are treating the incident as a hate crime.
Officers are investigating and appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious near the memorial around the time of the offence.
The officer leading the investigation, PC Stacey Vidler said: “While a crime like this is rare, it has understandably caused great distress to members of the Jewish Community.
“If anyone has any information or saw anyone acting suspiciously around the memorial, we encourage you to come forward and to contact us.”
