Plymouth Argyle football club has announced it has proposed to staff a restructure of it's operations due to "significant financial pressures".

It has been reported that there will be possible jobs cuts at the club.

Argyle said relegation to League One and "wider inflationary pressures" have led to "significant financial losses."

A spokesperson said in a statement: "The club can confirm it has proposed to staff a restructure of its operations.

"In the past four years, the club has progressed in many areas. However, the return to League One, coupled with wider inflationary pressures, has resulted in the club incurring significant financial losses.

“This is being proposed in order to address significant financial pressures, and to assist the club in trying to ensure long-term sustainability."

Argyle have not confirmed at this stage how many jobs may be affected.
