A woman has been sentenced to jail after assaulting an elderly man in Frilford Heath.

Stacie Marshal, aged 39, of Cheviot Road, South Shields in Tyne and Wear, was sentenced to two years and six months in jail, following a hearing at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (4/7).

She was found guilty by unanimous jury of Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm with intent following a three day trial, which concluded on 9 April 2025, at the same court.

Her conviction relates to an incident in Frilford Heath on 22 June 2023. Marshall and another man, assaulted a man in his seventies.

It was after an earlier incident in which two teenagers were trespassing on the victim’s property.

Marshall and the man took exception to the incident and viciously assaulted the victim, causing him multiple fractures to his face and a fracture to his rib as well as bruising to his face and body.

Marshall and the man were arrested that day. They were both charged on 3 January 2024.

The man who was charged in connection with the incident died before the case could come to court.

Investigation officer Detective Constable Davina Gotch, said: “The victim, a defenceless man in his seventies, was subjected to a vicious and prolonged attack.

“He has recovered from his injuries but the mental scars remain.

“I am grateful to the victim for supporting our investigation and providing evidence in order for the case to come to trial and bring Stacie Marshall rightly to justice.

“I am satisfied that Marshall has been jailed for complete loss of control in this incident.”
