An 82-year-old woman has died following a collision involving three cars on the A4074 near Ipsden earlier this month.

The crash occurred at approximately 11.30am on Tuesday, 2nd December, at the junction with The Street.

A blue Vauxhall Corsa had been waiting to turn right when a silver Vauxhall Corsa collided with it from behind.

The impact caused the silver Vauxhall Corsa to veer into the path of an oncoming grey Volkswagen Tiguan.

Although the 82-year-old driver of the silver Vauxhall Corsa was taken to hospital, she tragically passed away at home on 13th December.

Her next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from Thames Valley Police.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Police seek witnesses

The Roads Policing Unit has launched an investigation into the collision and is appealing for witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward.

Investigating officer PC Ben Rowlands said: “First and foremost, my thoughts are with the family of the woman who has sadly died following this road traffic collision.

We are supporting the woman’s family at this extremely upsetting time.

I am appealing for anybody who was in the area at around the time of this collision to please contact us if you witnessed anything that could assist this investigation.

I would also ask anybody who was driving on this section of the A4074 to check their dash-cams and get in touch if it has captured anything that may assist this investigation.”
