Woman assaulted in Blackbird Leys

A woman's been injured in an assault in Blackbird Leys.

It happened around 11am on Saturday 15 November.

The offender grabbed the victim, a woman in her thirties, to the face and neck near the changing rooms at Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre, causing facial injuries.

Between 11am and 11.30am, on the same day, the same offender has then assaulted the same victim, causing a large bruise to her leg.

A 31-year-old man, from Oxford, has been arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm. He has been released on police bail until 11 February.

Investigating officer, PC Daniel Archer, said: “I’m appealing for anybody who witnessed what happened, or who may have mobile phone footage, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police."
