Thames Water says it's continuing repairs after a water main burst near Oxford Road.

The company says the repair is complex due to both the size of the pipe and its location within a field in Eynsham but crews have been working through the night to try and resolve the issue.

Thames Water explained they are bringing in additional staff from across the region to support, with special measures in place to keep hospitals in supply.

It is highly likely that further households are going to experience water outages.

The bottled water station at Sainsbury’s, Witan Way, Witney, OX28 4FF will be open this morning from 08:30 , with an additional bottled water station opening at 09:00 located at Morrisons, Black Bourton Road, Carterton, OX18 3HA.

In a statement Thames Water apologised for the inconvenience:

"We are very sorry for the ongoing disruption. We fully understand how inconvenient and worrying this is, and we are working as quickly and safely as possible to resolve the issue and restore supplies. We will have another update for you 12:00"
