The incident occurred around 6.25 pm on 12th June, at the traffic light pedestrian crossing near The Health Centre on Mably Way, Grove.

A 37-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and not adhering to his licence conditions.

He has been released on police bail as investigations continue.
