Family pay tribute to Aylesbury man dead in Kingsey crash as driver arrested

A 49-year-old man from Aylesbury has died after a crash between a van and a car on a Buckinghamshire road near Kingsey, with police now appealing for witnesses as the investigation continues.
The collision happened on the A4129, close to the turning for The Player Forge football pitch, shortly before 11.40am on Thursday 21 May 2026.

He died at the scene.
The driver of the Golf, a 33-year-old man from Princes Risborough, was arrested on the same day on suspicion of manslaughter and causing death by dangerous driving.
He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Family say he was a devoted dad and “loved to make people laugh”
Andrew’s parents said he was a “son, a brother, a father and a friend to many”, describing him as someone who enjoyed joking around and making others laugh from a young age.
They said he worked a variety of jobs throughout his life and that his daughter was his biggest pride.
His former partner and their daughter Ava also paid tribute, saying he had a “huge heart” and was “a quick-witted man who always had a joke ready”.
Ava said: “I miss you so much, you were the best dad in the world.”
Police ask for witnesses to come forward
Senior Investigating Officer DI Alice Broad said officers are continuing to support Andrew’s family while carrying out enquiries into what happened.
Police are asking anyone who saw the collision, or what happened in the moments before it, to get in touch.
