Anti-social behaviour can have a big impact on people’s wellbeing, confidence, and everyday life, affecting individuals, families, businesses, and entire communities.
Thames Valley Police want to ensure victims are a priority and are committed to working closely with local partners to address concerns.
Their ASB Action Plan highlights seven main focuses: understanding ASB better, engaging with communities, using data intelligently, prioritising prevention and problem-solving, boosting support for victims, communicating clearly, and being open and accountable.
Support for those affected includes mediation services, which aim to resolve disputes before they get worse.
These services help those impacted discuss how anti-social behaviour affects them and encourage positive changes from those responsible, ultimately aiding conflict resolution and improving community relations.
Victims experiencing ongoing anti-social behaviour can also request ASB Case Reviews. This process brings different agencies together to look over the situation, find out what more can be done, and ensure victims' concerns are fully heard.
