Three men photographed children before threatening parents with knife

Police are appealing for witnesses to track them down

Three men were spotted taking photographs of children, before threatening parents with a knife in Kidlington.

Around 9.15pm on Friday (27 July), three men were taking pictures of children playing on Osborne Close.

When challenged by a parent, one man threatened members of the public with a bladed article, before running away in the direction of Belgrove close, leaving in a black Citroen.

The offenders are described as three white men. The first man has a beard and was wearing a full grey Nike tracksuit, the second man also has a beard and was wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts. The third man was wearing a grey t-shirt and black shorts.

The second man in the black t-shirt and black shorts was in possession of the bladed article.

Investigating officer PC James Flint, said: “I would urge anyone who may have been in the area or who may have information about this incident to please contact police.

“If you have any CCTV footage in the area, or any dash-cam footage if you were driving in the area around the time, please check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.

“I know this may cause concern, but I would like to reassure the public that we are investigating this as a priority."
