Thames Valley Police officers say the A34 has reopened after a sudden death was investigated.

It was on the stretch between Radley and Marcham just before 9pm yesterday.

The northbound carriageway, which was closed, reopened earlier this afternoon though restrictions remained in place for drivers in the opposite direction.

Police say they're not treating the death as suspicious and would like any witnesses to come forward.

Meantime, the M40 has also reopened following the death of two people in a collision on the motorway.

Investigations have been underway at the scene between Junctions 9 and 8a (Bicester and Tiddington).

It's revealed both fatalities were men, with two other men sustaining serious injuries. They remain in hospital.

We'll have travel updates on-air through the afternoon peak period.
