Police appeal after elderly woman injured in crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash in Oxford which left an elderly woman with serious injuries.

It happened at around 4.20pm on Friday (12 December), on the pedestrian crossing at the Cassington junction of the A40.

a woman was struck by a motorcycle while crossing.

The victim, in her 70s, was hit be a motorcycle and remains in hospital.

The motorcyclist stopped at the scene, along with other members of the public.

No arrests have been made.

Investigating officer PC Harry Welch, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said “I’m appealing for anyone who was in the area at this time and may have dash-cam footage to please check it and send it to us.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who stopped at the scene and hasn’t spoken with us yet, to please get in touch."
