Pensioner killed after collision in Oxford

An 80-year-old pedestrian has died after a collision involving two cars in Oxford.
It happened on the A4142 Eastern Bypass Road, between Risinghurst and Horspath Driftway, at about 2.15am yesterday (10 January).
Two vehicles, a Ford Fiesta and a Hyundai Ioniq, were involved in the collision.
A 28 year-old man from Dunstable in Bedfordshire has been arrested on suspicion of causing death whilst driving a vehicle unlicenced/uninsured.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Oliver Cahill-Smith from Thames Valley Police said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of the pedestrian who died in this collision.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw the collision or has footage from the area to contact Thames Valley Police as soon as possible."
