A nurse who worked at HMP Huntercombe in Oxfordshire has been struck off after making sexual and racist remarks on the job.
Paul Bryan Vogler faced a Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing over his actions.
The panel heard he'd made offensive comments, targeted black staff members, and shared racist posts online.
He also broke patient confidentiality and distressed those around him - actions the committee said were unacceptable.
Although Vogler was described as capable in his work, the council ruled his behaviour was incompatible with staying in the profession.
The committee says he was a "clinically competent nurse", but that his "deep-seated, racist views" were "fundamentally incompatible with remaining on the register
He resigned in 2020 having previously been suspended after several disciplinary investigations.
