Two men, including one from Witney, will no longer face prosecution over claims they spied for China.

33-year-old Christopher Berry of Witney, and 30-year-old Christopher Cash, from London, had denied charges under the Official Secrets Act, which accused them of passing information to an enemy.

Mr Berry worked in various teaching posts in China since September 2015.

The pair had denied the allegations and were set to face trial in October, but prosecutors dropped the charges against them at a hearing at the Old Bailey on Monday (15 September).

Prosecutor Tom Little told the court that the "evidential stage of the case" was "no longer met".
