Oxfordshire fire service to send crew to help with Suffolk heath fire

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue are sending a crew to assist their Suffolk counterparts in dealing with the wildfire incident close to the Sizewell B reactor.

Suffolk's fire crews have been tackling the blaze since Wednesday evening.

Oxfordshire are sending one fire engine, crewed by four firefighters, and one 4x4 vehicle crewed by two firefighters.

The service says that while these resources are deployed to Suffolk, arrangements remain in place to maintain emergency response across Oxfordshire as normal.
