Oxfordshire company charged over death of guttering engineer

An Oxfordshire company has been charged after a guttering engineer was electrocuted in Longworth near Abingdon.

Cotswold Rainwater Services Ltd., based in Witney, has been charged with manslaughter and failing to ensure safety at work.

The charges are in connection with the death of Andrew Claridge, a 34-year-old guttering engineer from Minster Lovell, who died on 14th November 2024.

A post-mortem examination found that Mr Claridge died from electrocution.

Cotswold Rainwater Services Ltd. is due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 11th August.
