Oxford motorcyclist banned from the roads
It follows an investigation by police.
A man has been sentenced for dangerous driving offences in Oxford following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
Andrew Burns-Mackie, aged 32, of Palmer Avenue, Lower Arncott, was sentenced at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Friday 24 October to 24 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 18 months, an 18-month driving disqualification and a requirement to retake an extended test.
He was also required to undertake rehabilitation activity, and pay £239 in total costs.
At an earlier hearing, on 24 September, Burns-Mackie pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving.
On 8 June this year, Burns-Mackie was stopped on his motorbike after driving dangerously on the southbound carriageway of the A34, close to Bicester. He was stopped by an officer on an unmarked police motorbike who was taking part in an operation named Operation Throttle, a proactive engagement and enforcement piece for 2-wheel road users.
