Man charged following stabbing in Oxford

The 23-year-old is accused of grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife.

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Oxford.

Kyle Cox, a 23-year-old from Harebell Road, Oxford, has been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm, possession of a bladed article in a public place, and section 4a public order following an incident reported just after midnight on Thursday, 11th December 2025.

Police responded to reports of a stabbing at Northfield Close, near Alice Smith Square in Littlemore. A man in his twenties sustained serious injuries during the incident and remains in hospital.

Cox appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 13th December, where he was remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear at Oxford Crown Court on 9th January 2026.

In connection with the case, a 21-year-old woman from Oxford was also arrested on Thursday on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent. She has since been released on police bail while further investigations continue.

Thames Valley Police are continuing their inquiries into the incident.
