Motorcyclist dies following collision with deer near Henley-on-Thames

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision between a motorcyclist and a deer near Henley-on-Thames.
The collision happened in Nettlebed just after 4.50am on Monday (13 October) on the A4130 Port Hill.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 60s, was travelling towards Wallingford when he hit a deer which ran into the road.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and sadly passed away on Thursday (16 October).
Investigating officer PC Ruan Brink, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This was a very tragic incident whereby the motorcyclist has been involved in a collision with wildlife on an unlit section of the A4130.
“He was treated in hospital for his injuries, but very sadly died on Thursday.
“His next of kin are aware and are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers, and our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.
“I am appealing for anybody who was in the area and who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dash-cam footage, to please contact Thames Valley Police."
