Man dies following collision in Clacton

Investigation underway after a pedestrian dies in Oxford Road incident

Detectives are appealing for information after a fatal collision occurred in Clacton, involving a pedestrian and a BMW X5 on Oxford Road.

The emergency services, including police, ambulance, and fire brigade, responded to reports of the collision at approximately 7:40pm on Tuesday, 3rd February.

Despite their efforts, the pedestrian, a man in his 60s from Clacton, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Currently, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is being led by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

Police are urging anyone who was in the vicinity at the time or who may have information or footage that could assist with the investigation to come forward.
