Man arrested after alleged hit and run in Oxford
A man suffered potentially life-changing injuries.

Thames Valley Police officers have made an arrest in connection with a suspected hit and run in Oxford.
A 30-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody.
The arrest relates to the driver of a grey Mercedes mounting the pavement and running over two men in their twenties in St Clement’s Street at around 10.30pm on Saturday.
The driver then reversed in an attempt to cause the victims further injury but missed before driving off.
One of the victims suffered potentially life-changing injuries; he remains in hospital. The other victim suffered a minor injury and has been discharged from hospital.
Detective Inspector James Holden-White said: “We have made an arrest in connection with our assault investigation and they remain in our custody.
“We still believe it was a targeted attack with no threat to the wider public.
“We are still appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about this assault to come forward.
“I would also urge any drivers with a dash-cam who were driving in the area at the time to please check your recordings in case you have captured anything that might help our investigation.”
