Police are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Woodstock has left a man in critical condition.

At around 5.50pm yesterday (30 June), a pedestrian, a man aged in his nineties, was crossing Oxford Street when he was involved in a collision with a blue Jaguar S-Type.

The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

Investigating officer PC Jake Schulz, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this collision, which left a man with serious injuries, to please come forward.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area at the time to check their dash-cam footage, as it may have captured something that could help with our enquiries.

“If you saw the collision, have any information or hold any digital media that might assist our investigation, no matter how small it may seem, please call 101 or make a report via our website, quoting reference number 43250326293.”
