Man charged with murder after woman found dead in Henley

The 44 year old is due in court today

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Henley.

Thames Valley Police officers were called to Phyllis Court Drive on Friday morning (7 March) after a 44-year-old woman was found dead.

Although the woman's identity has not been formally confirmed, a post-mortem examination has established that the cause of death was drowning.

44 year old Nelio Gouveia, from Phyllis Court Drive, has been charged with one count of murder.

He is currently in custody and is due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates Court on 9th March.

The woman's relatives have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
