Thames Valley Police officers are carrying out additional patrols around synagogues and other Jewish venues as part of policing plans for Hanukkah.
Chief Superintendent Steve Raffield said: “Our thoughts are with the Jewish community, the victims, their families and all those affected by the terrorist incident in Australia.
“We are working closely with partners, faith leaders and community representatives to help keep our communities safe.
“There is currently no intelligence to suggest any threat in the Thames Valley, but we would ask the public to remain vigilant.”
People are urged to stay alert when attending events or visiting public spaces, and to report anything suspicious to police..
