A 16-year-old boy from Didcot will face trial in January on several terrorism-related charges after allegedly stockpiling weapons and explosives at his family home.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of supporting the so-called Islamic State and sharing propaganda videos depicting terrorist attacks, battlefield explosions, and killings.

His alleged activities came to light following a raid by counter-terrorism police on March 12th.

The teenager is facing seven terrorism charges, including possession of homemade explosives, swords, and a suicide vest.

He is also accused of possessing material from Islamic State manuals and documents intended for terrorist use.

The charges include two counts of disseminating a terrorist publication, three counts of possessing articles for the purpose of terrorism, and two charges of possessing materials that could be useful to terrorists.

According to the accusations, the boy shared videos containing Islamic State footage and battlefield content with another person in November and December of the previous year.

During a court session at the Old Bailey, the boy appeared via video link and confirmed his identity.

Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb stated that while his trial is expected to take place in January, the exact date and location have yet to be determined.

The teenager was not required to enter any pleas during the hearing.
