Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with an assault in Chinnor.

At around 5.15pm on 17 October at the Co-Op on Oakley Road, the victim, a man in his twenties, was assaulted by another man.

The victim was punched in the head twice in which he sustained a split lip, before the attack was stopped by a member of the public.

Fortunately, the victim didn’t require hospital treatment for his injuries.

Investigating officer PC Kate Harpham-Timms, said: “We are releasing images of an individual of a man who we believe may have vital information in connection with this incident.

“If you recognise this man, or if this is you, please contact us as we think he may have information to assist our investigation.

“Please call Thames Valley Police on 101 quoting reference 43250531377, or you can provide information on our online form.

“If you do not wish to speak to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
