Bicester Motion unveils major plans for £1bn hub in Oxfordshire
New proposals include technology showcases and residential spaces
Oxfordshire's Bicester Motion has announced ambitious plans for a £1 billion development on its 444-acre site, aiming to transform it into a centre for automotive and technology innovation.
These outline planning applications have been submitted to Cherwell District Council as part of a long-term plan to boost the area's role in Motorsport Valley and the Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor.
The plans include three key proposals: The Rushes, Command Works Phase 2, and Motion Living.
The Rushes will offer spaces for brands to showcase their latest mobility technologies and engage with the public.
Command Works Phase 2 will provide flexible workspaces for growing businesses and newcomers to the site.
Motion Living includes plans for 200 apartments designed to support community building and attract skilled workers to the area.
An additional proposal for The New Technical Site, focusing on research and development, is expected soon.
