Woman, 96, dies after being found in Abingdon following search
Officers and Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue had been searching for Christine after she was reported missing
A 96-year-old woman has died after being found in Abingdon following a missing person search.
Christine was located last night (5th January) after extensive searches were carried out by officers and Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue.
Lifesaving efforts were made at the scene. However, Christine sadly passed away.
Her family has been informed, and formal identification has taken place.
A file has been prepared for the coroner, and Christine’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
