Two women have been forced to get out of their car by a robber - who threatened to stab them before stealing it from the car park of a Northampton supermarket.

It happened at Asda on Harborough Road yesterday (Thursday 22 January) around 2.30pm.

A man opened their car door as they sat in a queue of traffic and ordered them out.

The car was seen driving off towards Cranford Avenue or Kingsland Road and bumping the curb, it was later found at Balmoral Road.

Police are asking anyone who saw the incident to get in touch.

The man officers would like to trace is described as having an England accent and a blue vape, wearing a blue cap and zipped top, with grey jeans - he had light facial hair, either grey or blonde.
