Witnesses sought after man found seriously injured in Rothwell hotel car park
The man was found with head injuries yesterday and remains in a critical condition
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 50-year-old man was found with serious head injuries in the car park of the Rothwell House Hotel on Bridge Street, Rothwell.
Officers were called to the scene in the early hours yesterday, and the man was taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Detective Inspector Alan Rooney from the North CID team said investigations are ongoing to determine how the man sustained his injuries, which they believe may be consistent with a fall from a window.
"We believe the incident occurred between 3.30am and 5.25am on Monday, November 10, and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything in Bridge Street, between the stated times," Rooney said.
"We would particularly like to hear from anyone who was driving past the hotel and may have captured the incident on dash-cam footage or any residents or businesses in the local vicinity with CCTV footage.
"This is a complex investigation, and we would urge anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us, to please get in touch as a matter of urgency. No matter how insignificant they believe it is, as this could help piece together exactly what happened."
