Witness appeal after girl seriously injured in A45 crash
It happened on Wednesday night
Detectives are appealing for information, after a teenager was seriously injured, in a collision on the A45, between Wellingborough and Rushden.
It happened on the eastbound carriageway at around 10.10pm on Wednesday, June 11, when a teenage girl on foot was in collision with the driver of a white Nissan Note car.
The girl sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to University Hospital Coventry.
The driver stopped at the scene. No arrests have been made.
Prior to the collision, the police received reports of a group of people on foot walking in the carriageway, and officers were deployed to look for them.
Investigators from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are keen to hear from anyone who saw a group on or beside the A45 before the collision, as well as any witnesses to it.
