Man stabbed in Victoria Park
A man in his 20s was assaulted and sustained a stab wound to his chest
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a stabbing in Northampton’s Victoria Park.
The incident happened between 7pm and 8pm, on Wednesday evening (August 13) when a man in his 20s was assaulted and sustained a stab wound to his chest.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, attended the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital, where his injuries were confirmed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
A 52-year-old man from Northampton was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at around 9pm the same night.
He remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
Northamptonshire Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Police investigations are ongoing.
