Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in which an 11-year-old girl was injured in Northampton.

The incident occurred at around 4:05pm on Monday (28 July), on the A4500 Weedon Road in Upton, at a pedestrian crossing.

A collision took place between the young pedestrian and the driver of a black Toyota Auris.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the girl was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.

Her condition has not been publicly disclosed.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident—or who may have relevant dash-cam footage—to come forward.
