Two people have been arrested after an unlicensed music event held in the woods near Weldon was brought to a safe conclusion on Sunday afternoon (7th June).
Police officers were first called to the site at 11.30pm on Saturday when the gathering was already underway.
Officers put a road closure in place to prevent more people from getting in.
Due to the large number of people present, it was not feasible to clear the area immediately without risking public safety.
The event was eventually dispersed during Sunday by police officers.
Two individuals were arrested for drink and drug driving offences during the operation.
A large amount of sound equipment was seized from the site.
An investigation is now underway to determine any other criminal activities associated with the organisation of the event.
Officers from the Corby Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue to maintain a visible police presence in the area.
They plan to engage with landowners following the event to ensure future occurrences are prevented.
