Two people rescued from Northampton lake
Emergency crews were called to Delapre Park after a man and woman got into difficulty in the water

Emergency crews have rescued a man and a woman from a lake in Northampton.
Teams were called to Delapre Park on Tuesday afternoon (28 July) where its believed the man entered the water to help a woman in difficulty.
Specialist water-rescue firefighters helped the couple to safety.
A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 3.01pm on 28 July to Eagle Drive in Northampton.
"We sent three paramedics in solo response cars and an ambulance. One patient was taken to Northampton General Hospital via ambulance.”
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service has warned people about the dangers of open water swimming.
