Witness appeal after assault in town centre

Witnesses are being sought following two assaults in Northampton town centre.

The incidents happened in Vernon Walk and Abington Street on Wednesday, August 12, between midnight and 11.55pm when two people were assaulted by the same person.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his 40s, of a slim build, with a shaved head and riding a light-coloured bicycle.

Police have said he was wearing a grey hoody during one incident and a light vest top in the second.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
