Daventry man released under investigation after assault on taxi driver in Northampton
Police are continuing their enquiries into reports of a racially aggravated incident
A 23-year-old man from Daventry arrested in connection with a racially aggravated assault on a taxi driver in Northampton has been released under investigation.
The attack occurred near the Palmerston Road and Cliftonville junction in Billing Road between 1.45am and 2am on Saturday, 23rd May.
Northamptonshire Police are actively pursuing further enquiries into the incident.
They are urging witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555111.
