Connor Panter, 24, faces two charges following the attack on Gold Street
A man has been charged after a woman was stabbed near a pub in Kettering.
Connor Panter, a 24-year-old from Rockingham Road in Kettering, has been charged with one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place and one count of Section 18 grievous bodily harm.
The charges follow an attack in Gold Street, near The Peacock pub, shortly after 8.35pm on Sunday 30th August.
Northamptonshire Police said a woman in her 30s was stabbed.
Four other men arrested
Panter, who police said was also allegedly assaulted during the attack, was arrested along with three other men, two of whom also sustained injuries.
Two men aged 43 and 40, both from Kettering, and a 31-year-old man from Barton Seagrave, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries after being arrested on suspicion of affray.
A 33-year-old man from Wellingborough, who was arrested on suspicion of affray on Monday 31st August, has also been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Appeal for witnesses
Detectives said they would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has information, but who has not yet come forward.
