Four more individuals have pleaded guilty to charges connected to the murder of 34-year-old Ryan Burton, who died following a serious assault in Kettering earlier this year.

Ryan was attacked at Spring Rise Park on Highfield Estate in Kettering shortly before 7pm on 10th January 2025. He died six days later at University Hospital Coventry.

A trial involving six individuals charged with murder and robbery began in October at Northampton Crown Court.

Last Friday (14th November), two defendants – Keiton Underwood, 20, of Bridge Street, Desborough, and Ace Hill, 19, of Minden Close, Corby – pleaded guilty to murder. Underwood also admitted to a robbery charge.

Now, on 19th November, the remaining four defendants have entered guilty pleas to the following charges:

Cameron Williams-Ferguson, 24, of High Street, Kettering, pleaded guilty to manslaughter

Kyle Derek McSkimming, 23, of Pen Green Lane, Corby, pleaded guilty to manslaughter

Connor White, 25, of Spencer Street, Rothwell, admitted to robbery

A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon

Hill, Underwood, Williams-Ferguson, McSkimming, and White are set to be sentenced on 22nd December 2025 at Northampton Crown Court.

The 17-year-old will be sentenced at a date yet to be confirmed.

Speaking after the guilty pleas, Detective Superintendent Johnny Campbell said: “This has been a very complex investigation and I am really pleased that we have succeeded in securing six guilty pleas.

“Sadly, no result, sentence or conclusion at court could ever make up for the loss of Ryan, however I hope his family can take some comfort in the fact that justice has been served to those involved in his murder.”
