Police investigate Wellingborough sex assault

It happened in Queensway Park last week

Police officers are appealing for witnesses to a sexual assault in Wellingborough.

It happened in Queensway Park, on the night of Tuesday, November 4

Between 9pm and 10pm a woman was approached by another female, as she walked through the park near to the underpass and became fixated on her appearance, before inappropriately touching her.

The woman’s boyfriend then approached the pair and the offender shook his hand, before inappropriately touching him and running off.

The offender was a white female, about 5ft 3in and of a medium build, with dark brown messy hair, and blue eyes which had dark circles underneath. She spoke with a strong Eastern European accent.

She was wearing a big black coat, a pink pyjama top with flowers on it, dark coloured baggy bottoms and was carrying a black bag with a white logo on it.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, who may have been approached by a female in the park in a similar manner, or who may be to help identify the offender.
