Police are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted on a Stagecoach bus in Northampton on Christmas Eve.

The incident occurred between 1pm and 1.15pm on 24th December 2025.

A man approached the woman and her partner at the bus stop opposite the Asda store on Harborough Road, Kingsthorpe.

The offender asked the woman if she wanted a fight, and when she declined, he continued to intimidate her before following her onto the 4A Stagecoach service.

Once on the bus, he punched her in the face and left before the bus departed.

Officers have released an image of a man they want to identify (see above) and believe he may have information that could assist their investigation.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or spoke to the woman or the offender at the time to come forward.
